How exciting. Today we signed off on the "ozalids" for the printing of Great Golf Down Under 2, a follow up to the (now) sold out original edition. This part of the proofing process is quite interesting. The printer in China is sent the digital file as a high res PDF with all the images embedded and from this they send back the "ozalids" which is basically the book printed on a low quality printer and then assembled into sections of 16 pages each. It is a number of these sections (19 in fact) which are then bound and form the book itself.

Australian Golf Digest is a wonderful publication that I enjoy a particularly good relationship with. Their series of informative articles on a whole manner of topics is supplemented by a range of my photographs that I have taken around the place.

I was asked by the Ilhan Food Allergy Foundation to take some aerial images of Marysville Golf Club for a proposed golf day which is being held at the fire ravaged golf club on November 10 this year.
The scene from the air was one of a number of distinct contrasts - the open pastures of the farms surrounding the golf course and the fairways of the golf course were a lush green whilst the trees surrounding the course and scattered amongst the fairways were scarred and burnt - a remnant of the terrible Black Saturday Bushfires in February this year. And to add a further contrast there was white snow in the hills surrounding the township.

Back from Adelaide after a 3 course photo shoot at the some of the best courses in Adelaide - Royal Adelaide, Kooyonga and Glenelg. Fluctuating weather made it a bit harder than nornal and capturing 3 courses added a bit of pressure also.
