GOLFSelect (a company owned by myself and my wife Maureen) was involved in the Marysville Masters Golf Tournament held today at The Heritage Golf and Country Club.
The day was a fundraiser primarily organised by Andrew Fox of Linfox and Andrew Forrest of Fortescue Metals Group and raised an astounding $650,000 to aid the rebuilding of the towns in the Marysville Triangle after the devastation of Black Saturday in February this year.

It was the most amazing event GOLFSelect have been involved in and featured a host of big celebrities including the patrons Greg Norman and Chris Evert-Norman as well as a star studded line up including:
- Simon and Garfunkel (they sang 3 very memorable songs to an audience who was crying a lot of the time) - no cameras allowed!
- Premier John Brumby
- Hamish and Andy (from FOX FM)
- Megan Gale
- Alicia Molik,
- Wayne Arthurs (tennis champions)
- Olympians Grant Hackett and Michael Klim
- Musicians Wilbur Wilde, James Morrison, Kate Cerebrano as well as a host of others.
GOLFSelect happily organised the Marysville Masters Putting competition which saw an elimination competition on the putting green culminated by the winner Bill Greenland putting off against Greg Norman in the final.
We also donated a copy of Great Golf Down Under to each player who played in the day and this was very well received.
All in all it was a great day out for a wonderful cause.
